Want to hear what Bunji Families think?

We never planned on adopting a dog from a breeder. Honestly, I'm not sure I would label Jen Carlson and her family a "breeder" as they are so much more; they deserve a word much grander. What Bunjidoodles/Jen and her family do goes way above and beyond what I ever expected a person bringing puppies into the world on purpose would do. Sooooo much love and care go into her dogs. Her husband, children, parents and other pets are all involved and make the world of difference.

Once I narrowed down our choice of dog to a Labradoodle, it took awhile to find the right person/place to choose. I am so grateful I found Jen's family and am so impressed with how she welcomes everyone to be part of the journey for every family bringing home their puppy. Watching the adult dogs, seeing puppies right after they are born to the time they go home, sharing in the joy and the tough times, reading what other families share or ask, watching videos of what to expect, training tips, how to groom and everything in between was such an amazing experience, and still is.

Waiting for our puppy felt like forever, not going to lie. So, if you are waiting, I highly recommend going thru all of the videos, reading and looking at all Jen shares on their Bunji Family Facebook page. There is a surplus of truly valuable information. Taking that year to read and watch, gave me courage to groom our Brie. Having the Bunji Family Facebook page is an exceptional gift and truly an honor to be part of.

What do we feel now, months later, now that Brie has been with us awhile? We're so glad we waited, Brie was well worth the wait. Sending a down payment to a "stranger online" all the way in Michigan when we live in PA was unique, but I can tell you that everything put into your puppy is more than you can even know or imagine until you watch daily for months. I knew no one who had a dog from her/them. I read and looked through all of her accounts and researched. Finding Jen and family was definitely meant to be. Brie is the best dog we have had and this was an exceptional experience, better than I could have asked for. Brie came knowing to sit and that potty was meant for outside, and she still adores her stuffed toy they sent home with her. I still feel like I can ask questions, and am still enjoying seeing all the other family's dogs grow up and keep up with what they are doing. It's such a warm, nurturing community to be part of. Brie is an exceptional dog that loves to train. We are so in love with her and we are forever honored to have a Bunji family puppy/dog. The day we flew and went to pick up Brie felt beyond surreal. Meeting Jen and family in person is by far the most amazing memory for us, especially me. I would do everything all over again.
We thank Jen Carlson and family, more than words can say! We thank Quinn and Riley for our girl, and grandma Bunji for sharing her Quinn.

I fell in love with Bunjidoodle the moment I saw Logan on Instagram several years ago and knew I had to have one of these precious babies. Fast forward several years later and we finally have one of our own from Logan and Toby (Loretta). When asked where we got Loretta, I reply, “A friend, who has an amazing program called Bunjidoodle.” That is exactly what I consider Jen and the rest of the Bunji crew, friends. We could not have had a better experience with Bunjidoodle. Loretta is the best puppy that we have ever had and we currently have 3 dogs. The care, patience, love, and dedication that go into each puppy in this program is unmatched and admirable. The result of this heartwork :)  are the best puppies anyone could ever ask for! Our girl is confident, snuggly, and loving. She is social and easily adapts to any situation. Loretta is such a joy in our life and never fails to make us smile. We are so grateful for Jen and the Bunji crew for giving her the best start in life!

I found bunjidoodles/the breed Australian Labradoodles through a friend who lives in Michigan. I live in Minnesota so I started looking for a breeder for an Australian Labradoodle anywhere between MN and Michigan for the sake of convenience. Well, I didn't find any I would have felt comfortable getting a puppy from. The correspondence was short or they bred multiple breeds showing no speciality with one breed. I learned more about Jen through her facebook page she has set up for future and potential bunji families and I knew we found our match. I saw how responsive and kind she was to current and future families. I saw how much education she provided on the breed, grooming and training. And of course I saw how she cares for these puppies and gives them the best start to life through Early Neurological Stimulation, socialization, training and expertise from her experience as a Veterinarian Technician. We are now a proud bunji family. We brought Mika (Hazel/Terk May 2020) home this summer and we are so happy with her. She is eager to learn, social, confident, even tempered and of course absolutely beautiful. Jen provided a perfect match for our family based on our lifestyle. We are forever grateful for the opportunity to work with Jen and have our own Bunjidoodle!

There isn’t enough time to adequately express how special Jen, her breeding program, her family, and our Bunji community are to us. This beautiful boy, Frankie (Sami & Toby 2019) came to me after a year of Instagram stalking before I made the decision to put my name on the list for my Bunji. I did a ton of research and knew in my heart, from the very first conversation, that Jen was not like other breeders. The expertise, the sharing of progress, the level of love she gives to each puppy and family is unheard of. My Frankie is my true love and everything I could have hoped for. He’s a head-turner in our neighborhood and gets attention everywhere we go. As a first time puppy mama I’ve been spoiled by everything that’s come along with Frankie.
Jen’s involvement doesn’t end after you take your puppy home. She’s a call or text away and somehow manages to make everything seem so easy. She’s given me so much advice and pointed me in the right direction with recommendations for training, treats, challenges, etc.
I know no puppy is perfect, but I know Frankie is perfect for me. He’s incredibly confident, intelligent, calm, and loyal. He’s simply the best.

We had a Goldendoodle that passed away at 12 years old.  I was following Reagandoodle on Instagram and fell in love with Australian Labradoodles.  I researched and made phone calls looking for the perfect breeder.  I then found Bunjidoodles.   I followed Jen for almost two years.

You could see the love that Jen and her family had for the dogs and puppies.  I watched her videos, got to know her children, her husband Cavan and truly felt like I knew them all.

I live in New Jersey and do have breeders closer to me.  I have friends that got beautiful Labradoodles from local breeders, but there was something about Bunjidoodles that I loved and had to have a pup from them.  To make a long story short...we traveled from NJ during the pandemic (even though we are seniors) to get our beautiful Maddie.  The only regret I have is that I wish we would have been able to visit with Jen and her family.  The damn Covid virus! We had our masks on, had a quick transfer and had to head home.

Maddie is now 5 months old and we love her.  I still follow Bunjidoodles.  I love to see what’s going on and watch the videos which taught me so much.  It’s fun to see when she goes “live” and get to watch the new litters.  I enjoy the excitement of those waiting for their new pup and how Jen makes everyone feel that their puppy is the most special one.

I never thought we'd get another dog in our house. We had adopted a rescue golden retriever only to find out our daughter had severe dog allergies. After having to re-home her, we came upon a friend who had an Australian Labradoodle. She referred us to Jen and Bunji Doodles. That email to Jen began a journey for us. We were impressed with her use of the Puppy Culture program, Early Neurological Stimulation and it goes way beyond that. We joined her FaceBook group and observed her and her family as they raised the puppies within their home. We submitted our application, deposit and we knew who the mama would be. Jen took a lot of emails from me with questions about our concerns with allergies, and she responded not only with answers but with pictures of Mom and Dad. At one point she sent a video so we could see them! I could write a book on this journey we were honored to be a part of. The matching process, the personality testing, crate training, teaching puppies to potty outdoors, her kids are amazing with every single puppy! These pups are amazing! We chose Puppy Head Start with our Lola (Quinn/Riley) and we brought her home fully crate trained, and 90% housebroken. Her personality match with us is perfect in every way! We love her and she follows us everywhere around our home! Amazing is the fact that our daughter does fine around her with her allergies!! Best traveler ever! She loves to ride in the car, truck, boats, and golf carts! Best breeder award goes to Jen!

Before we got our Bunji-Charlotte (Sami/Toby), we researched breeders in the US. When we read about Bunjidoodles, we knew that we found THE breeder for us! We love being part of the Bunjidoodle family and couldn’t love our Charlotte more. Having Jen’s family be part of the puppies’ lives, is a gift! Jen’s mom- otherwise known as Bunjistork; flew Charlotte to us in Vermont. It was a pleasure meeting Cathy and love the pictures she sent, along their journey. Charlotte’s siblings owners and I are constantly sending pictures, commenting on each other’s posts and sharing stories of our much loved Bunjis. It’s a special community that my family and I are so grateful to be a part of!

When you add a bunjidoodle into your family you actually gain a huge family full of support, wisdom, and fun! The dogs are amazing and the Carlson family does such a wonderful job with these puppies. Unlike any other breeder I’ve heard of — truly one of a kind experience getting a bunji! Jen loves her puppies and has been a huge support to us with being first time dog owners. She answers any question you have in a timely matter and offers her full support. Leo is almost a year old and I wouldn’t be able to put into words how valuable it’s been having Jen’s support and advice. we love our Leo (Waffles/Fig) — he was given such a great start to life by the Carlson crew! Thank you!! We love you!

I did almost a year of research before committing to Bunji. I honestly fell in love just from their story, but also the cutest dogs around and I loved how involved the whole family was!  Hudson (Sunny/Terk) is the sweetest, smartest dog and we could NOT have imagined quarantine without her! Jen puts you at ease, answers all of your questions -big and small and just loves these dogs SO much. The difference here is immeasurable and worth every cent.

Jen is truly “One in a Million!” You will be hard-pressed to another breeder like her. She is one of the most loving, caring and compassionate persons I know. She does an excellent job placing the puppies with their forever homes. When my standard labradoodle died suddenly a few days before Christmas in 2017, my heart was broken. I wanted an Australian Labradoodle and after searching for several days for a breeder, I miraculously found Jen. I phoned her on New Year’s Eve; she was kind enough to take my call and listened attentatively to my sad story.

The mark of a true Christian is love. Jen truly exemplifies this in her relationship with her family and her dogs. Each and every video is filled with her love for her children, her children’s love for her and their love for each puppy/dog. We truly appreciated watching the videos of Leah and Brayden socializing the puppies. The love these children show each puppy is outstanding. I have contacted Jen several times with questions and concerns and she always responds with either a phone call or email.

We have Magnolia, from Sami/Toby, June 30, 2018. Jen kept us updated with weekly photos and emails. She gives all her puppies an amazing start in life. Our puppies are members of our families and it is heartwarming to know that Jen’s pups come from such an amazing family.

Jen is a true blessing to all whose lives she touches. I am so grateful to be part of the Bunji Family. We waited 9 months for Magnolia and she definitely was worth the wait.

We are one of the Minnesota family’s who were recommended by a family who has Gilly. We got Nala (Logan/Toby) this year. She makes us smile everyday and is fiercely loyal to her crew, which includes 3 little girls. The time Jen and family spend with these pups is amazing. She is always available for questions or concerns. Her kids being around the puppies allowed Nala a smooth transition to our family with kids. Nala also is not bothered by fireworks, storms, or loud noises because of the extra work Jen and family put in while the puppies are only a few weeks old.

This is Gilly, from one of Jen’s earliest litters (Waffles/Toby). We contacted her after we lost our dog in a tragic accident. We were heartbroken. Jen helped us heal. She listened to us, was patient and matched us with the perfect pup. Jen is transparent and principled. We love that we can watch every step of her process and she shares videos of her wonderful kids socializing the pups. The time she puts into these pups is unparalleled and it shows. No pup is perfect, but we think Gilly is, and most importantly he’s perfect for us. Everywhere he goes, people ask about him. We have recommended her countless times and three friends have adopted Bunjis as well. When it comes time to expand our pup family, Bunji is the only place we’ll go. PS, there is a reason the wait is long. It’s worth it!

This is Oakey (Sunny / Terk) and he is now 7 months old. We live in New York. Our experience of working with Jen was wonderful. Her true love of what she does is so obvious. We also love watching videos of her children help care for the puppies! We are so thankful for the way Oakey was cared for during his first eight weeks. My husband and I have three daughters and Jen matched us with the puppy that was meant to be ours. I personally never had a dog before owning a Bunji and I was nervous. From the moment we met our puppy at the airport with the kindest “Bunji stork”, I knew it was all going to be fine and we all fell in love. In our neighborhood Oakey is a celebrity. Everybody stops to greet him as he walks by and Oakey’s tail never stops wagging with happiness!!!

I live in NY and flew to MI to get my bunji baby and I have no regrets. I’ve had other friends who got their dogs from other breeders. There is no comparison to what Jen as well as her whole family does and continues to do with their program. I couldn’t have had a better more loving experience from start to finish. I still obsess over the email updates and live videos/photos of him growing up. If you are anything like me, your dog is a member of your family so you want it to come from an amazing family. This is the only breeder I would intrust. She matched me with my match by far. Haha, he’s goofy, overly loving, water dog and cuddle monster.  Caleb aka Anchor (HazelxTerk).

I live in New York and just brought my sweet Coconut (Hazel/Terk) home. Jen was so incredible with the way she took care of Coconut an extra 4 weeks after her litter mates went home, to be sure she was gaining enough weight since she was the smallest one by far. She constantly kept me in the loop of how she was doing and what training tools she was using in preparation for Coconut coming home. Jen is super woman! She is always on call for her Bunji families ready to answer any question and she genuinely cares for each and every bunji puppy. I feel like I have a puppy guide for life with Jen, which is extremely comforting. I feel so grateful to have Coconut, especially knowing where her life began, in Bunji land!!

Our experience with Jen has been wonderful and above expectations. When we initiated our search for our next four legged family member, we came across many careless individuals that called themselves “breeders”. From Oregon to Florida, individuals willing to ship puppies away in cargo, no questions asked about the family, no real reviews etc. The day I found Bunjidoodles on Instagram, I told my husband “this is the one! Let’s contact her!“ My husband contacted Jen and in an impressive profesional manner she guided our family thru the adoption process. For us even selecting a litter was so smooth. The mother Harper and the father Toby immediately stole my heart. We were so impressed with the way Jen handles the chaos of so many questions, the matching process, her knowledge and her willingness to be available even years after. I love that we have a Bunji family page! I love to follow everyone and I truly feel, I have friends all over the United Sates and beyond! I even wished we lived closer, since we live in South Florida. In other words... we are very happy and proud to be part of the Bunji family!

Jen is an amazing breeder who cares about her dogs and puppies and does a perfect job placing her puppies with families. I was not a dog owner and her videos and advice was beyond helpful. I still reach out with questions

We don't have a puppy from Jen, we were actually on a waiting list for get one from JoJo's litter when we unexpectedly adopted Aspen. He was rehome and at the time we felt the need to give him a better life, that put things on hold for a bunji baby since 2 dogs is a lot and my husband would kill me if I asked for a 3rd one day though I know I will have a bunji baby of my own! I do on the other hand work with Jen on almost every litter to make them the most special bandanas ever to go home with. Very few breeders take the time to work with someone like me, it takes quiet a bit of time on both our ends to search and find the right fabric and then discuss how to finish it. Jen is a super mama to be willing to do that in between all her already very full hands. There is no doubt in my mind that Jen and a bunji baby is one of the best decisions you can make. There are really very few people who care as much as she does. I love my bunji fam so much and I can't wait to be able to have my own furbaby from Jen! Thank you for everything!!
